Built in the Pilbara.
Built to last.

SRT Mining Group is a copper and gold producer with operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of SRT Group, established in 2004, and we have spent two decades building one of the most technically demanding and high-performing mining operations in Australia.

From explorer to operator — two decades in the Pilbara

SRT Mining Group was established in 2004 as the resources exploration arm of SRT Group, initially targeting base metal and gold prospects across the Pilbara and Murchison regions of Western Australia. Within three years of incorporation, our exploration team had identified an exceptional copper-gold orebody 62 kilometres southeast of Port Hedland — a discovery that would define the company for the next two decades.

The Turner River Copper-Gold Complex produced its first copper concentrate in 2009. What followed was a period of sustained, disciplined growth — four processing plant expansions, four record production years in our first decade, and the development of one of the most technically sophisticated concentrator circuits operating in the WA Pilbara.

Today, SRT Mining Group processes more than 5 million tonnes of ore per year, employs over 2,200 people, and is mid-way through a $520 million Stage 5 expansion that will lift nameplate capacity to 9 million tonnes per annum by 2027. We operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of SRT Group, which provides strategic oversight, capital, and the long-term investment horizon that has allowed us to build without compromising on technical quality or safety standards.

We are not the largest mining company in the Pilbara. We are not trying to be. Our objective is to be the most technically rigorous, the most consistent in our delivery, and the best employer for engineers who want to do genuinely complex work in a resource environment.

Our values

Four values. Not aspirational statements — actual standards we hold ourselves and each other to, and that inform every decision from the boardroom to the pit floor.

Safety, always

Every person who comes to work at SRT Mining Group goes home. That is the only acceptable outcome, and it shapes everything — how we design our circuits, how we manage change, how we respond to incidents, and how we treat near-misses.

Technical rigour

We do difficult engineering work. We do not cut corners on it. Our technical standards are maintained by Chartered Engineers across every discipline, and our project delivery record reflects that investment in doing things properly.

Integrity in every decision

We operate on Kariyarra country, in a community that has been shaped by resource extraction for generations. We take that seriously. Integrity means delivering on our commitments to regulators, communities, and our people — not just to our balance sheet.

Performance without limits

Twenty-four consecutive above-guidance quarters is not luck. It is the product of people who refuse to accept that targets set six months ago represent the ceiling. We reward people who find a better way, not people who defend the existing one.

SRT Group

SRT Mining Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of SRT Group, a privately held Australian investment and resources conglomerate with operations across mining, infrastructure, and energy.

SRT Group provides the long-term capital and strategic oversight that allows SRT Mining Group to invest in multi-year expansion programmes and technical development without the short-term earnings pressure that constrains publicly listed operators. Our Stage 5 expansion — approved at $520M in April 2026 — is a direct product of that investment horizon.

SRT Group does not operate the Turner River Complex. All operational decisions, technical standards, environmental management, and community commitments are owned and executed by SRT Mining Group's management team in Port Hedland and Perth.
