SRT Mining Group today announced the results of Phase 2 reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Boodarie North target, located 18 kilometres north of the Turner River open pits within the company's existing 480km² Pilbara tenement package.

The programme returned the strongest copper intercept recorded in the Pilbara copper corridor in over a decade, with hole BN-RC-026 returning 94 metres at 3.1% CuEq from 42 metres depth, including a high-grade core of 24 metres at 4.8% CuEq from 68 metres. Copper mineralisation at Boodarie North is hosted within a chlorite-carbonate altered schist sequence geologically consistent with the Turner River orebody, 18 kilometres to the south.

Geological interpretation

The Phase 2 RC programme comprised 28 holes for 4,840 metres, following up on Phase 1 results that first identified significant copper mineralisation at Boodarie North in mid-2025. The Phase 2 results confirm a zone of continuous copper-gold mineralisation over a strike length of approximately 800 metres and a down-dip extent of at least 200 metres that remains open in all directions.

The sulphide mineralisation is dominated by chalcopyrite with subordinate bornite, consistent with the Turner River deposit style. Preliminary metallurgical testwork conducted on Phase 1 composite samples returned copper recoveries of 88–91% into a 26–30% Cu concentrate using conventional flotation — confirming the ore responds well to the existing Turner River processing circuit.

"Boodarie North is shaping up to be exactly what we hoped it could be — a high-grade extension of the Turner River copper-gold system at a scale that could underpin a third decade of production at this operation."

Next steps

SRT Mining Group will commence Phase 3 diamond drilling at Boodarie North in April 2026, targeting deeper extensions to the mineralised zone and obtaining the oriented core required for structural geology interpretation. A maiden JORC 2012 mineral resource estimate is expected in Q4 FY2026. Subject to the resource outcome, a scoping study to assess standalone or satellite processing options will be initiated as part of the Stage 6 planning process in 2027.
